That belltower is about 1200 years old.
On its roof, Bishop Ramperto put a little weathercock in 820 A.D.
The little rooster had stayed there for more than a millennium, watching the town and its inhabitants, until it was replaced by a copy at the beginning of 20th Century. The original is now in the Museum of St. Giulia.
